SO IT WAS
Found this while flickr'ing. Somaflickrations of Soma Fab SF.
Look at Delancey back then - 'blush' rather than 'rush' Ha.
Man, it was squeaky clean and innocent. I oughta reconsider of keeping it.
After all the good, bad and hard times I had to go through setting it up especially
dealing with the inefficient, inconsistent custom officers and those lame excuses
of getting extra$ from an individual. And the best bit was seeing the frame after a
hellsome 2 months wait for clearance and finally fixing it and hitting the road.
Ah it does feel this good...
Update:
I found this pic which was taken late last year.
Still kinda clean and looking better.

FOR REAL...
I hott this one.
Don't know much about this "special" one but
it looks Condor-ish? Whatever it is. It's hell hot.

FOR [E]
JUST BIKES...NICE BIKES...ANY BIKES
I have been checking out a lot...
Tandem! I have no idea why and how I got an interest with it
but it just grew, eventually. But somehow... [pause]...
I think I can do some finger-pointing on this very bad influence
towards this evil-rock-and-roll-bike-loving-blog-head-nerd that
I've never met in person but in contact through this virtual world.
In fact this whole vintage bike thing is from him and his evil doing...
Hahaha... but I must thank him for all his bad-ass influence on me
or somehow may be on all of us. Some nice bikes from Alan's blog.
Sweet classic Paramount
Thanet Silverlight
Roadies...
[e] and myself have been debating about road bikes lately.
Well not really a debate but purely our own opinions.
As we all know road bikes, yea... road bikes, they come in massive loads of stuff
and that gear count itself will drive you up the wall. Not to mention expensive too.
If that gear needs fixing... imagine how messy it can be?
Cables, gears, more gears and levers on the bike itself?
I do agree with that having a whole world of chaotic chain reaction in a bike
is not the smartest design. But it can be minimized/simplified without a doubt.
Though it will still be rear heavy and non-aggressive comparing to a fixie.
Of cos you can't compare to a fixed gear/single-speed.
I once bought a used and run down Raleigh for MYR50.
50 bucks in the 80's is a lot for a poor student like me but very reasonable for a
'whatever i can't recall the gear count'-speed road bike. Was it 8?
Went through everything from scrapping off the ugly red paint, undercoat,
new colour coat with at least 4 metallic cans and a can of clear coat,
free new raleigh decals from where my grandpa works [he was an accountant
for a very old bike shop] and some parts replacement all done in the backyard.
Rode it for a good solid year with a lot of miles too and sold it off for MYR450.
I love that bike but I let it go for some stupid reason...
Anyways some nice roadies below. There are more but I'm not getting paid to put all up...
and just might offend some non-road bikes fans out there ;)
Go google.

This morning we were greeted by a friendly courier, Will who's also a photographer. He's compiling some potraits of people who ride fixed and asked us if we were interested. He's looking for about 100 fixed riders I believed. It will be interesting to see the end result.
See you tmo lunch time Will.

REMOVING DECALS/TRANSFERS
Just spent the morning removing the decals on my Bob Jackson and thought it worth sharing the experience, you'll see why!
Attempt 1:
Method: fingernails/various scraper type instruments/white spirit (yes, white spirit - i am an ass!)
Time taken: 30mins
Result: horrible mess, some apparently permanent paint damage :-(
Back to the drawing board, time to search online for some tips (thank you londonfgss). So...
Attempt 2:
Method: Heating up area with transfer with hairdryer and simply peeling off in one go.
Time taken: 5mins
Result: pretty much perfect
The moral of the story kids? If you got the urge to remove some transfers, please get a hairdryer.

Witcomb Cycles
Wow this looks like really good manufacturer. Hadn't heard of them before myself but apparently been building these sexy little things in south London since 1949. Anyone reading this got one? I like the fact that the ordering process starts with a 'Measuring and cycle-fitting service, providing you with a frame blueprint for geometry and size' - the Saville Row of frame builders? Intrigued and ever so slightly tempted...
